New Year

Aaaah, the new year is here again. While i go around wishing people Happy New Year, i havent had a 'Happy' New year in years.


The reason for this is not because i hate it, no, it was because without fail, for the past couple of years, I had exams.


And i will continue to have exams during this time of the year until i graduate from Uni. That really sucks.


While my friends and family are going out clubbing, watching movies, watching fireworks in the many many places around the country, I'll be here in fireworks-less village of Semenyih, studying.



As for New Year resolutions, never did them before and don't plan to start anytime soon.

I am supposed to be studying.

Exams are in 3 weeks time.

Big Bang

On Wednesday, I met up with Mitra who i have not met for like 2 years i think. After talking to her for awhile, i went for computer systems class. God, I hate MATLAB. MATLAB sux!!

Anyway, after class ended at around 5 plus, Derick and I went to the SA. We saw a few people there playing DDR. So we went in to see who it was. It was Zhi Yang and his friend. Zhi Yang was in the ACE club and he was 'testing' to see if the mats work for the DDR competition that was suppose to take place at 6. When he saw us, he asked us to 'test' the mats. So we did.

The bottom line is me, Derick and Keng Mun who came afterwards ended up joining the competition. Derick, being a Singaporean was good at it. He was the best until the competition where this chic kicked his ass. Truthfully the chic kicked everyone's ass, she won the competition. She played the game like how Jee Kin plays DOTA, no joke.

After the competition, Maggie, Darren, Edwin and some other of my classmates came to the room and started trying it out.

After dinner, we went to Keng Mun's house to ask Lian Hing how to do the stoopid MATLAB coursework. He came only came to the house at 12pm. So since we were nowhere near finishing the coursework and our exams are only like a month away, we just lepak'ed in their house. We were watching Marcus and Kam Hing do their spring cart thingy for their coursework. Then we also watched the Big Bang Theory, which is fark-ing funny. Seriously, it was hilarious. I recommend everyone to watch it. When Lian Hing came bak, we went out to mamak. Me and Derick only managed to solve the stoopid MATLAB question at around 5.

Now i have a report to write for the stoopid matlab coursework and another coursework due next week. Oh, and i also have a stoopid MATLAB test this Wednesday.

Did i mention that i hate MATLAB?

BOB

The main thing I had planned for the weekend was to study my for my coming Basis of Biotech (BOB) test.

But then i thought it would do no harm to take Friday afternoon off.

So after i reached home, i just hung around at home doing onlining and stuff.

Then at night before dinner Simon ajak to go kill 'monsters on grass' with Jee Kin and Yi Heng.

Since i havent lepak with them ever since the sem started i said yes.

At 12, Bryan came to join us, but then i had to go home.

So he first sent me home and then joined the rest of them.

Then today, i woke up at 1 and feeling that i have just wasted the entire morning sleeping, i quickly had lunch and a shower.

Then my parents told me that we were going to KL to visit my grandmother.

I asked if i had to go and they said yes.

We could have reached home around 9, but then my uncle asked us to attend a talk promoting the vegetarian lifestyle, which is funny because i dont eat vege.

So here i am 11.30pm at home, studying BOB.

And i also have 3 courseworks due on the same week as my test.

Aiyoyo, better get to work.

Broga Hill

Last Thursday, me, Marcus, Derick, Kam Hing, Lian Hing, Clarence and Stephanie went to climb up Broga Hill. I woke up at 4.45am and Marcus picked me up at around 5sumthing. We started climbing around 5.20am. And after walking non-stop for 40 minutes we reached the first peak. Me, Stephanie and Lian Hing were too tired to follow the rest of them up, so we stayed there for a while. We later climbed up to the 2nd peak. When we reached, we found out that there were 4 peaks, so we just stayed there.

After climbing, we went for breakfast in Broga. And then we went back, since I had a class at 9 I had to get ready for class. And after class I had Frisbee.

Deepavali

I know this is a late post, but what the heck. I only blog when I am home that's why its late.

OK, lets see, I woke up at around 7.30 am, and left the house at around 8. The first stop was my aunty's house in Setapak. My cousin, was really funny because she was wearing make-up in the house even though she wasn't going out. Even her sister who is usually the more vain one, wasn't wearing make-up.

After breakfast, we went to my grandmother's house also in Setapak. My grandmother had nine sons including my father. 7 of them were there, so you can imagine the crowd. We basically just sat down chit-chatting and eating some of the 'kuih-muih' that was made. For lunch there was briyani rice with chicken curry, mutton and some other stuff. We stayed there till 5 sumthing then we went back to Subang.

Back at Subang I took another bath and then we left for Klang to visit some of my relatives from my mother's side. First we went to my uncle's house for tea. We were there for only 15 minutes since they were on their way out.

At around 6.30, we went my aunty's house that's less than 300m from my uncle's house. We were there for like around 30 minutes than we went to my cousins mother in law's house for dinner. Their house was so damn nice especially the interior. The dinner was practically a mirror carbon copy of what I had for lunch. apparently mutton and curry chicken is very popular during Deepavali. After dinner we had this awesome chocolate cake, it was like a little piece of heaven in your mouth.

After dinner ended like 10 sumthing, we went to my uncles house which is less than 50m from my first uncle's house (aint that awesome?!). The main reason for coming here was to play fire works. Every year my uncle spends hundreds of ringgit on fire works and this year was no different. The highlight of the night was those fire works that bursts into different coloured flower.

My uncle stuck the fire work into the ground.

He lit it.

And then it flew.

Without the stick.

Haha, the top part flew across the wall onto the middle of the road and exploded there.

It was pink in colour. The people in the neighbours house (which was having an open house) all started laughing, it was soo hilarious. But we managed to make the other ones go up properly. After about an hour of fireworks, my aunties said to stop. So we decided to light one last fire work.

Haha, it still only counts as one. After this we went back home to get some shut eye.

This only exists in some extreme cases, or in some really sick, weird people. The weirdo jerks off to Centaur screwing Enchantress. Ewwwwwwwwww!!




This is just my opinion. At least it gives me something to blog about.

GODLIKE!!

My past week have been quite boring actually. Just the same thing everyday, wakeup, class, sleep. But I have been doing something I think no one would've expected me to do...I have started playing sports.

"OMG, really?"

yea I have been getting these responses from practically everyone at my Uni.

So, what sport did I choose?

Ultimate Frisbee

Yup, Frisbee. The ultimate in front is just to make the name sound cool. I don't even know why they put it there.

But before I could ask, my question was answered.

"The sport is called 'Ultimate' for a whole lot of reasons, just ask any of your seniors. But why YOU are going to call it Ultimate is for you to find out."

The guy that gave the newbies their first real class told us something close to this. (I cant remember his name)

So I went to play a game. The purpose of the game is to get the disc to the 'end zone' as they call it for a point. Sorta like in American Football, but you cant run with the disc. At the end of the game, I realise that the game is a whole lot of fun. Especially if you play with fellow newbies.

Its like playing football for the first time. When someone has the ball, half the team go near him to help him, while the other half stand next to the goal post expecting the ball so they can be the hero of the game. The same thing happened in Frisbee. But then I didn't really care because it was FUN.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Tomorrow is Deepavali, and I have to wake up early, but I am still going to online until like 2am :D

Escargot :D

On Tuesday, me, Mark, Derick, Kel Shen, Amelia, and Jeremy went to this restaurant in Sg. Chua called Mom Mom Mia. We went in Jeremy's car to Mark's house first, and then he drove us to the restaurant. Along the way, Jeremy kept on talking about some crap and his girlfriend, Amanda (who is also Amelia's sister). The whole car ride was basically about ignoring Jeremy with other stuff. When we got to the restaurant, we ordered a dozen of escargot, and then our individual dishes. I ordered the cheese ham chicken chop.

After eating we went to the mamak stall for a few drinks since the drinks in the restaurant was epensive (because it was a western restaurant). Me and Jeremy wanted to shisha but the shisha guy wasnt there yet. After a few drinks we went back to Mark's house. Mark has 4 dogs ( all Mongrels ) ! But then the two that was not tied were too scared to come near us. We take one step towards them they run and hide under the car. I tried to pat it several times but tak jadi. After that we went back home, Derick played foosball with Jeremy but I was too sleepy, so I just went to sleep.

Mooncake Festival

Saturday

On Saturday, 3 October 2009, the Chinese people celebrated Mooncake festival, a.k.a Lantern Festival. Me, Simon, and Yi Heng went for a BBQ organised by Jee Kin. Bryan couldnt make it because he went to Puchong (dont know why, but got speculation :P).

The BBQ supposedly started at 5pm, but when we went there (around 6-ish) the fire not yet start. 'The CC Gang' was having trouble starting the fire, so Simon stepped up to start the fire. After Kenneth came back with some more fire starters, the fire actually started looking like a fire. Around 7.30, then only they started cooking.

The main dish was the chicken and also the sausages. The squid that Jee Kin marinated was.....well, it wasn't good (sorry Jee Kin). So I mainly ate the chicken and the sausages. Shamini joined us after a while around 8 something. After Jee Kin and Mandy came back with the lanterns, we went for a walk around the area (minus the CC Gang, except for Jee Kin :D). In the spirit of 1Malaysia, we went to look for Encik Nazri, my form 5 BM tuition teacher. He was shocked to see a bunch of young adults in front of his house holding lanterns (who wouldn't?) . After that we went to the mamak for a while and then went back home.

Monday

On Monday, I went to another Mooncake festival celebration, this time with my Uni friends in Semenyih. After eating dinner, we went to Wen Shan's house to light lanterns and eat mooncakes. After taking a few photos (hopefully I can get it soon) we went for a walk around the taman. After coming back to the house, me, Keng Mun, Derick and Kam Hing started burning the lanterns. Kevin and Liao (Wen Shan's housemates) wanted us to burn the lantern in the area where the grass was long, so we did. At first we just burnt part by part with small fires caused by burning the lanterns. But then it got boring so we just started a small fire and kept feeding it with other lanterns. The fire got quite big that they (Kevin and Liao) asked us to stop because they were scared it would be too much to handle, there was a huge bald black patch under their swing :)

Nottingham

Haihz, the first 2 days at Semenyih was so damn boring, hopefully that wont last for long. I am too lazy to upload any pictures now so within the next couple of days hopefully Ill be able to upload the pictures.

Back to Nottingham :s

Today I went to Uni to register and also to confirm my room. After registering went to collect my room key, this year didn't get on campus room...dam sad. My house is quite near to the uni, so can walk. Thats good, but then my room so weird. I went in I saw got air-cond, I was happy, then I saw got no fan. Wtf right? Why the hell got air-cond but got no fan? I guess my room is going to be damn hot, T.T . And then found out the bathroom sink got no water. Not only that, the whole downstairs also got no water, zzz. So went back to uni, settle the payment then ask the people to go fix the water supply. After finish everything, went makan in Broga. Its like 3km away from uni and the nearest decent makan place. After lunch went back home. As we were leaving I thought to myself, I like holidays, i don't want to go back, T.T.

On the way home my brother bought Dunkin Donuts from Carrefour. He went to lowyat to buy speakers for his friends birthday. He going back to 'Dead Town' Sungai Petani tomorrow. Why I call dead town? Cuz it is, his house got no telephone pole also, damn ulu.

Around 6 sumthing, Bryan ajak OMG on ucplay. It took me like damn long to get the stoopid 1.24b patch to work on BNet. I noe, I noob. But I managed to do it ^_^

So, can play :)

Random Stuff

I still have nothing to blog about so I am going to write about my weekend. Yesterday I went for my nephew's 1 year birthday. They catered food from some caterers, but I just took 2 of the McChicken Value meals they bought for the kids. There were 2 cakes, one home made and the other a big BEN10 Secret Recipe cake. We reached home around midnight.

Since today is raya,

Selamat Hari Raya.

And since I finished my game, I have nothing to do...again. My classes start back on the 28th, so it's just 1 more week. Surprisingly I feel glad, because I am bored of sitting at home.

Huh, it was Soo Gee's Birthday?

Around 6 sumthing Simon ajak me go makan. After fetching me, we went to Jee Kin's GF, Mandy's house to pick Jee Kin up. Then only Simon told me it was Soo Gee's birthday. So we went to Asia Cafe to makan and also wish Soo Gee happy birthday. Soo Gee, Yi Heng and their friend, Reuben I think, were playing pool. We literally wished him and went downstairs to eat. After eating Jee Kin suggest we play pool, but then when we went upstairs, Reuben dragged Jee Kin to play dota. what to do? Just follow only. After playing 1 game Yi Heng and Reuben went back. Simon, Jee Kin and I went to play pool. 45 minutes or so later we went to U2 cc to play L4D, but got no com (thank god).

So we went home. After reaching home, I straight went to my room to play Kingdom Hearts (it is a damn good game).

Went online, and went through the stages of Emo.

First stage: Shock

Second stage: Anger

Third stage: Denial

Fourth stage: Ignorance (just ignored it, t'was no big deal)

Fifth stage: Whatever you were feeling before first stage. (in my case boredom)

This Saturday i am going to Seremban to celebrate my nephews first birthday.

Yesterday we celebrated Yi Heng's birthday at Chuan Chew Bak Kut teh in SS14. After Simon picked me, Bryan and Jee Kin up, we went to Secret Recipe to buy a cake for Yi Heng.

After the makan, Ting Yu ajak go dota, but then he said dont want because he want to go home to take a dump. After much persuasion (actually it was very easy to persuade because he was addicted to it), he followed us to U2 cc. Yi Heng belanja us to a few games there until around 12 when we all went home.

Today marks the 8th anniversary when 2 planes crashed into the World Trade Center in New York city. The attack, masterminded by Osama bin Laden killed 2,750 people.

It took approximately 8 months to clear the site.

Many large scale memorials have taken place since the attack all around the world to commemorate the anniversary.

Today also marks the 19th birthday of a good friend of mine, Teong Yi Heng.

Happy Birthday sohai!!
